Fire Alarm Batteries
Use this guide for your sealed lead acid batteries for any home security alarm system,
or fire alarm system.
These batteries are used in most alarm systems by Digital Security, ADEMCO, Ansul
NAPCO, ADT, Alarm Lock, Alcad, Light Alarm, CADDX and many others.
Alarm and fire alarm batteries usually come in standard sizes and the rating of
the battery can be usually determined from the manufacturer's part number, (for
example, a PowerSonic PS1240 is a 12V 4AH battery).
In some cases the alarm battery can be replaced with a higher rated battery. For
example a 12V 4AH battery has the same dimensions as a 12V 5AH battery, so they
are interchangable. The most common sizes are listed below.
